Chammandi podi literally means chutney powder in Malayalam. This Chammandi podi made with roasted coconut along with spices is spicy, sweet, sour, a delicious combination. It is a favourite side dish with hot red rice, Kanji , dosa or idli. The Chammandi podi which used to be made at home in small batches and the taste is a part of most of our memories.
