It is a delicious rice and is sticky when well cooked; if cooked less, it tends to be chewy. It is good for sticky rice preparations, normal table rice and variety rice preparations.

Lajni super rice is a slender fine red rice grown in Bengal. This is unpolished and has full bran and is possibly among the most slender red rices. It is a delicious rice and has lovely eating quality due to the small grains. It is good for sticky rice preparations, normal table rice and variety rice preparations. Bio Basics Lajni super comes from a single organic farm in Bankura, West Bengal. Originally this rice is from Chhattisgarh. This has been grown organically, stored naturally, aged and milled with full bran intact. Lajni super has to pre-soaked and can be pressure-cooked with 1:4 water, on high flame for 3 whistles and then on low flame for 7 minutes. Let the steam subside and open. If there is any excess water, please drain it out and use the rice.
Storage
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
Add a few cloves, bay leaves or chillies to keep it free from infestation.
Health
The Red colour comes from an element called Anthocyanin which besides acting as an Antioxidant also offers anti inflammatory, anti viral and anti cancer benefits.
