Emmer wheat (Khapli gehu) is an ancient, low yielding wheat variety that was grown from the times of ancient Egyptians. In India it is mainly grown in Maharashtra , MP & North Karnataka.
The flour of this organically grown wheat is high in fibre & low in gluten & makes soft rotis that leaves you feeling light. It can be used for baking bread as well.
After including emmer wheat and handpounded rice varieties, there is good improvement in sugar and thyroid levels of my mother. Thanks to biobasics for providing with these unique and wonderful products.
