Bio Basics Sigappu Kar comes from a PGS certified organic single farm in Mayiladuthurai. A medium-sized red rice variety, it is available as parboiled, semi-polished, with 50% bran. Tasty and slim when cooked. According to traditional knowledge, this rice is known to alleviate skin problems. Cooking instructions: Pre-soak for 2- 3 hours or overnight, add water 1: 3 pressure cook on high for 4 whistles and keep on low fire after that for 8-10 minutes.
