Dried Roselle Calyx
Roselle or Ambadi as it is known in some parts of India has high medicinal value and is used to refresh from the harsh summer heat. The bright red color of the tea is the result of high levels of anthocyanins in the flowers. They have a sweet and tart flavor similar to that of cranberries. Enjoyed both hot and cold, they make flavourful tea and sharbat.
Ingredients: Dried roselle calyx - shade dried.
For tea - use a tsp of Roselle calyx with 1 cup of boiling water. Allow it to steep for 3-4 mins and serve.
Keep the pack in an airtight jar in a cool and dry place.
