This heirloom black, glutinous, unpolished rice is organically grown, processed and stored. Black rice is known to contain the highest amount of antioxidants, protein and dietary fibre of all rice varieties coupled with lower carbohydrate and high iron-content. Cooking: black rice takes longer to cook than all other rices. Soak overnight and cook in the pressure cooker with 1:3.5 glasses of water and wait for 3 whistles on high flame and 3 whistles on low flame. Even cooked it tends to be el dente. Great for desserts, rice bowls, soups & even idlis!
