Overall, the quality was good. The Jeeraga Samba, Gandhasaale, Thanga Samba, and Thuyamalli varieties all had a pleasant aroma right out of the package, and I am very happy with them.

However, I wanted to provide specific feedback on the Kichadi Samba. Unfortunately, this particular bag of rice had an unpleasant burnt smell when I opened it. After cooking, the flavor was quite disappointing and did not meet my expectations.

Kerala Matta Rice, apart from it's low glycemic index leading to lower blood sugar levels, also contains a statin-like substance in its red covering which controls cholesterol synthesis. And it's taste is great, especially going well with Bengali foods, it has become my standard carbohydrate source for my brunch. And it absorbs a lot of water, growing to almost 7 times it's dry weight, so it is filling as well as low calorie. Would recommend it to all Rice lovers.
