The Story

Bio Basics gets it's Bansi wheat from a small collective of tribal farmers who farm organically  in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh. The bhil tribal farmers who now grow multiple varieties of heritage wheat have become the guardians of these seeds.

The tall plant that almost comes to a person height carries this grain.  Today very few farmers grow Bansi , many modern day short durum wheats have replaced Bansi , the main one being Tejas and most of the Bansi Dalia one gets in the market is improved Tejas wheat Dalia.
